In November, 2024 I travelled to the Anilao region of the Philippines to conduct a field study on the wild behaviors of the dwarf cuttlefish (Ascarosepion bandense).

Our goal was to gain insight into the natural behaviors of this species to better understand both their camouflage and social displays. We catalogued a variety of visual textures found in their habitat to use in our camouflage research. These textures are available on Cuttlebase.
